How to buy

Ordering is unusual: you receive hanafuda cards, hand one over per order, and settle up with what is left — roughly 400 yen a card. A four-sake comparison set runs about 1,155 yen, handy before deciding what to take home.

Getting there

Inside Hakata Station's Deitos, in the Miyagemon Ichiba area — right outside the gates, so it fits into a transfer window. Separate from the main store in Sumiyoshi 3-chome, where the sake floor is upstairs and Sundays are closed. This branch opens daily, 9:00 to 21:00.
