A drinks specialty shop in Kirishima (Kokubu), Kagoshima. As befits Kagoshima, imo shochu made from sweet potato is the mainstay, but there is a good range of quality seishu too, and you can find rare shochu as well as several sake such as Azumatsuru (東鶴), which is hard to get outside Saga Prefecture. The manager is widely described as helpful.

How to buy

Both shochu and sake are wide-ranging, and the shop is well regarded by visiting travelers. They pack carefully so bottles can be taken on a flight, and since popular and limited shochu depend on arrivals, it helps to enquire in advance about anything you want.
