가나가와 · 아츠기시
A local sake specialist in Atsugi founded in 1919 (Taisho 8). The polished interior carries a wide range of sake, shochu, wine, and liqueur, along with drinking vessels, and refrigerated low-temperature storage and light control are solid. The staff explain things well and give good recommendations once you describe your taste, so beginners and intermediate drinkers alike find it easy to choose.
Some special bottles are handled through a point card, and most popular labels can be bought at list price if your timing matches a delivery. When arrivals of popular labels such as Jikon, Aramasa, and Shinshu Kirei are posted on Instagram, they go fast. In conditional sales, food items are sometimes not counted toward the purchase condition, so it is worth confirming the conditions at the register when you are after a popular bottle. Stock is not guaranteed, and asking the staff directly is the quickest way.
About 8 minutes on foot from Odakyu Hon-Atsugi Station. From the south exit, take a bus toward Hiratsuka and get off at the second stop, Shimojuku, and it is right there. Coming by car is easy too, but the second parking lot is hard to locate the first time.
