About

A well-known jizake specialty shop in Kohoku, Adachi-ku. The main store is a retail shop centered on sake and shochu, and it actively runs an online store and posts arrivals on Instagram. The shop is modern and well organized, and POP signage plus advice from the staff make it easy to find something suited to your taste. It is far from central Tokyo, but the kind of shop sake enthusiasts make a special trip for.

How to buy

The official online store shows new products and the brands carried, so you can get a sense of stock before visiting. Popular jizake are handled by brand, including Hirotogawa, Senkin, Kankiku, Akabu, Hououbiden, Kaze no Mori, Gakki Masamune, Mimurosugi, Isojiman, Toyo Bijin, Kudoki Jozu, and Ugo no Tsuki. Reviews repeatedly advise bringing a cooler bag, and some note that the packing was not sufficient when buying several bottles, so cushioning material is safer for a long journey home. Bringing cash for payment is the safe option, though reviews also mention cards and PayPay being used.

Getting there

About an 8-minute walk from Nishiaraidaishi-nishi Station or Kohoku Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner. It stands on the corner of the Kaminumata intersection on Kannana-dori, easy to spot by car, and the main store has parking for 10 cars. Parking can get crowded on weekends and around the year-end and New Year period, so a daytime visit is easier.
