About

A city-center sake select shop near Ginza 1-chome. It centers on sake, shochu, and wine, with some liqueurs and whisky as well, and its strength is the kakuuchi counter where you can drink by the glass and compare bottles on the spot. Tax-free shopping comes up repeatedly in visitor reviews, and it is an easy stop for travelers on a Tokyo Station or Ginza itinerary.

How to buy

Rather than buying a bottle straight away, it is worth trying a two-glass comparison at the kakuuchi counter first. When one bottle runs out it is replaced by another, so the lineup can differ if you return after some time. Labels such as Isojiman, Nabeshima, Senkin, Oroku, and Fukuda turn up, and Oroku and Nabeshima are especially well received by visiting customers. Tax-free purchase is available, and LINE point members earn 1 point per 100 yen (before tax), with a system in which points can be spent for the right to buy certain products. Stock of popular labels is not guaranteed, however, and which items can be bought with points and how many points are required need to be confirmed in store.

Getting there

It is on the first floor of the Konya Building in Ginza 1-chome, easy to combine with a Ginza, Yurakucho, or Tokyo Station route. It is not a large shop built around a parking lot but suits arriving by train or on foot, and it works well for a short stop during shopping to have a glass or pick out a bottle.
