About this sake

Ofuku Honjozo is produced by Ofuku Shuzo, a sake brewery in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture. Founded in 1897, the brewery is known for developing the sokujo-moto yeast starter method, and as a honjozo it is brewed using rice milled to 70% or less of its original size, per the grade's standard. In keeping with the house style of its flagship brand Ofuku Masamune, it aims for a mellow, rich, full-bodied taste that is easy to drink without tiring the palate.
