About this sake

Released in October 2022 as the second edition of the local sake series recommended by "bar poet" Yoshida Rui, a collaboration between Mitsubishi Shokuhin and Dewazakura. The product name "Shigusa" (gesture) comes from a haiku Yoshida Rui composed himself: "Yofu kimi no shigusa ya, kaze ni tsukimiso" (the gestures of you when tipsy, an evening primrose swaying in the wind). Made with rice grown in Yamagata Prefecture, it has a refined, soft umami and a clean taste free of off-flavors.
