About this sake

Raifuku Shuzo, founded in 1716 in Chikusei, Ibaraki Prefecture, brews sake using locally grown Hitachi Nishiki rice. This Junmai Daiginjo, labeled "Super Polished 8%," is made from rice milled down to an 8% seimaibuai and fermented with Abelia flower yeast. The high polishing ratio yields a clear, clean taste with little off-flavor, along with a fruity, floral aroma and a balance of gentle sweetness and subtle umami. The sake took first place in the Super Premium category at the 2016 SAKE COMPETITION and scored 92 points from the Robert Parker Wine Advocate.
