About this sake

Shichiyo Shuzo is a brewery in Okagaki, Fukuoka Prefecture, tracing its roots to Hoshikuma Shuzo, founded in 1854, and later relocated to its current site in search of quality groundwater. The name "Yuuma" comes from Mt. Yugawa, formerly called Yuumayama, a mountain referenced in the Manyoshu located behind the brewery. Made from 100% Fukuoka-grown Yamada Nishiki rice milled to a 60% seimaibuai, this junmai has a low alcohol content of 13%. It offers a light, smooth mouthfeel with a refreshing character reminiscent of grapefruit.
