Nabeshima Yamada Nishiki is a Junmai Ginjo sake produced by Fukuchiyo Shuzo Co., Ltd., located in Hamamachi, Kashima City, Saga Prefecture. It is brewed using 100% Yamada Nishiki rice milled down to a 50% seimai buai, with an alcohol content of 16%. The sake offers a gentle ginjo aroma and a refreshing finish, with a balanced profile of sweetness, umami, and acidity, along with a faint effervescent quality. The Nabeshima brand takes its name from the Nabeshima clan, which governed the Saga domain during the Edo period, and gained wider recognition after winning the top sake award at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London in 2011.
