About this sake

Wakanami Shuzo, founded in 1922, is based in Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, near the Chikugo River from which the brewery takes its name. This junmai ginjo is made with 100% Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Itoshima, Fukuoka, milled to a 55% seimaibuai, with an alcohol content of 15%. The nose carries soft peach-like notes alongside hints of banana and melon, while the palate is smooth and clean with no off-flavors. A juicy richness leads into a relatively dry finish, making it well suited as a food-pairing sake.
